Anthony Fernando leads business development for Inwards Software Solutions and the Branded Group.

Previously, as part of the TELUS Public Sector team, he managed more than $7 million of annual contracted technology services with municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area. His role at TELUS placed him at the forefront of digital transformation and IT Service Management in the public sector. Anthony’s exposure has given him a strong understanding of 5G Networks, Telephony, Networking, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Mission Critical Communications for First Responders, Computer Vision, Intelligent Transportation Systems, as well as other emerging technologies being used by public sector organizations.

He has gained a strategic understanding of the public sector procurement process as a function of being the lead on the initial evaluation of an RFP, the final submission, as well as the post-award contract negotiation and execution.

Anthony loves local government and has made contributions as a political staffer, public servant, political candidate, public affairs consultant, and technology entrepreneur.

He earned a Hons. BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Western Ontario. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Economic Developer (Ec.D.), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v4). He recently earned his Institute of Corporate Directors, Director (ICD.D) and is working towards completing his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation.

Anthony is a PADI Divemaster and has completed more than 150 open water scuba dives in seven countries. He also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, playing golf, chess, and going on long hikes.
